Brother-in-law takes down man who boasts how women like 'being treated like dirt'

You know that saying about how the internet remembers everything? Well, one husband has learned the hard way.

Posting an image of himself and his wife on their wedding day to Reddit, the man shared some unsolicited - and unconventional - dating advice.

He declared to the Tinder subreddit that it was necessary to give women a "reason to stick around."

While most of us would think things like a sense of humour or a healthy, respectful relationship are good enough reasons, the man then added his go-to method.

"Women like to be treated like dirt when you first meet them… It's f---ed up but it's true," he wrote.

"Or you could just get a cute dog."

The image of the man and his wife, seated on the couch in their wedding attire, received more than 240 comments.

Unfortunately for the poster, one was posted by his brother-in-law, who delivered a brutal takedown.

"I'll assume it was the cute dogs then, because I'd be pretty disappointed to hear you treated my sister like dirt at any point," he quipped.

"Seeing family randomly on the front page is weird."

Redditors cheered on the brother-in-law, one joking, "Christmas with the family is gonna be interesting this year."

"Let's see how long that relationship (oh god, marriage?) lasts," another wrote.

One even responded to the brother-in-law directly, saying his sister's husband had "zero game" and that his tactics of "either treating women like trash or relying on the cuteness of a dog" said "a lot about his personality."

"Not to mention coming online to boast about these things," they added.

Another commenter replied with a question for the original poster: "What was this guy thinking??"
