Man arrested for blowing up his home after allegedly murdering his wife

A 59-year-old man has been arrested after the body of his wife was found on Friday among debris, following an explosion in their home.

Steven D Pirus from Madison, Wisconsin was arrested on Saturday night after it was discovered that Lee Anne Pirus, 50, was shot and killed possibly weeks or even months before the explosion but no missing person’s report had been filed.

The explosion took place on Wednesday and authorities say Pirus manipulated the house’s gas system to cause the explosion.
