'Rebury it where I found it': Woman's surprise reaction to wedding ring discovery
A man who found a woman's lost wedding ring has been left surprised at her reaction when he located her and shared the good news.
Steven Andrews, who runs the Facebook page Jersey Lost Ring Metal Detecting, found the ring during a recent search of the Channel Islands in the UK where he uses a metal detector to locate historical relics.
More often, he finds lost rings and does his best to return them to their rightful owners.

"It is marked as having been assayed in 1989," Stevens tells 9Honey.
Sharing a photo of the ring on Facebook, he was soon contacted by the owner of the ring who shared a surprise response which read: "Hi I threw this ring away after a bad divorce. I was married 3/3/89."

He believes she is the rightful owner of the ring, according to the marking on the piece.
"So for it to be hers it would have to have been assayed in the first couple of months of the year," he explains. "There is no personalised engraving in the ring, so I wonder if it actually is hers."
Steven Andrew is usually met with gratitude when he finds a lost ring. Facebook
When asked what he plans to do with the ring, he explains he is planning to "rebury it where I found it."
Andrews usually experiences a different outcome than this when he finds lost pieces of jewellery.
"I've been metal detecting for about 4 years and have a passion for reuniting people with their sentimental pieces of jewellery," he shares.
Let's hope the now-divorced owner of this particular ring has found happiness following the end of her marriage.
