Libby Trickett announces pregnancy with fifth child

Aussie Olympian Libby Trickett has announced the exciting news that she is pregnant with her fifth child!

The athlete took to her Instagram with a picture of her sonogram, sharing in the caption, "Luke and I are absolutely thrilled (and ever so slightly terrified) to announce that we will be welcoming Baby Trickett 5.0 into the world in April!!

"Poppy is already excited for another baby, Eddie thinks it will be a little boy and Bronte thinks it will be a little girl and Alfie keeps pointing to my tummy and saying 'baby' but really has no idea what's he's in for," the swimmer said, referring to her children, aged nine, six, four, and one respectively.

Her commentary continued in the hashtags, where she revealed her true thoughts: "Trickett party of seven", "We must be slightly unhinged or suckers for punishment, "Probably both", "But we cannot wait to officially complete our family", "Here we go again", "I really really promise this is absolutely it."

Congratulatory messages flooded in for Libby and her husband Luke.

"We cannot wait to meet the little croissant!!!," wrote Georgie Trickett, kid's coach and Luke's sister, "Maybe Alfie will consider letting me hold him now... maybe."

"Amazing!!!!!!! Big families are the best," wrote fellow Olympian Jana Pittman.

"This is Olympian level parenting!! Congratulations," wrote neuroscientist Dr Sarah McKay.

The 39-year-old recently spoke to 9Honey, telling us that having four kids is "the hardest thing you will ever do, but it makes you a better human.
