The cutest matching Easter pyjamas for the whole family are at Kmart from just $8

If there's one thing that makes a festive occasion extra fun it's matching pyjamas.

Imagine waking up on Easter Sunday with the entire household already dressed in theme ready for an egg hunt or to see what the Easter Bunny has left – it'll be too cute for words.

It also makes for a gorgeous Easter gift to include with, or as an alternative to, chocolate.

Getting the whole family kitted out in Easter pyjamas sounds like it might end up costing a lot, but thanks to Kmart you can absolutely do it on a budget.

The flannel family matching pyjama set includes one top and one pair of pants, comes in a blue colour and features hot cross bun and chocolate egg prints all over.

Prices start at $8 for the babies and toddlers' design, with sizes ranging from 000 to 2.

The kids pyjamas are $8.50, and includes sizes 2 to 8, while the men's and women's are $14 each. Men's sizes range from extra small to 3XL, while women's go from size 6 to 22.

For mum Jemima, wearing matching Easter pyjamas is a way to make new traditions extra special.

"Before I was a mum I never thought I'd be into matching family outfits, but as soon as my son was born I found myself instantly changing my ways," she said.

"Now I'm obsessed with matching him, even just on ordinary days I'll put us both in stripes or the same colours. So of course I'm going to be obsessed with matching themed pyjamas – especially now that he's old enough to kind of realise that we're wearing the same thing.

"These Easter pyjamas have such a cute pattern and they're soooo soft, which is what you want for comfy cosy nights. I've also started a tradition of doing a treasure hunt on Easter morning – he's going to look so cute running around the house in this matching set. I can't wait!"

While Theo's kids are older, even they didn't mind matching with their parents and siblings.

"We love that we can get a matching set for us all, and have a bit of fun while also keeping warm and cosy. Ms 15 had a good chuckle seeing mum and dad in the matching pyjama set; 'They're cute', she said. To get the four of us in the same look says a lot. Washed, dried, worn and perfect fit," he says.

"True to size, [just] $56 for the entire family – at that price point the quality and value is hard to beat. Even Mr 19 was impressed; 'Pretty comfortable', he said."

If hot cross buns aren't your style or you're a fan of classic children's book character Peter Rabbit, then the Peter Rabbit license family matching flannel pyjama set is for you.

For babies, there is the Peter Rabbit license flannel pyjama set for $15 and sizes 000 to 2. It includes a top and pants in a blue and white stripe design with images of Peter Rabbit all over. There is also a Peter Rabbit license dressing gown for $20 if you want to make them look even cuter.

Kids in sizes 2 to 8 have the option of the same design in pink or blue, for $18 a set.

Men's matching Peter Rabbit pyjamas are $29 each, come in blue and sizes small to XXL.

The matching women's pyjamas are also $29 a set and come in pink and sizes 6 to 22.

Franzi's family has picked this cute design for their matching look this year.

"We love getting into matching pyjamas for special holidays," she says. "These are super comfy and it gets us in the spirit for our morning Easter egg hunt."
