Six plucky couples to win free weddings as KFC launches new service

For some, a wedding is the day you dream of and for others, fried chicken is enough to make all your dreams come true.

Now, KFC is combining the two for the ultimate fried chicken enthusiasts by offering a wedding service.

And to kick things off, they're launching a competition for six (p)lucky couples to win a free KFC themed wedding.

Couples who apply to win the free wedding need to already be engaged and ready to say 'I Do' before next May.

Catering will be taken care of courtesy of the Colonel, who will serve up to 200 guest in custom buckets.

The couple will also get music and entertainment, as well as "decorations, a KFC themed celebrant and a photo booth to help capture all those finger lickin' good memories".

There is a catch though - any dietary requirements of guests won't be covered and neither will the cost of the venue, invitations, transport or alcohol.

"Over the years we've seen some amazing Facebook comments and have heard of some incredible proposals from fans taking place in our restaurants in Australia and around the world. Seeing these we thought bucket, let's create a KFC Wedding service!" Managing Director at KFC Australia, Nikki Lawson said.

KFC Wedding services will be running right through from October this year to May next year.

"We think it's important that this isn't just a one-off affair and that as many of our fans have the chance to get a KFC Wedding – so we're making this available for eight months as a genuine service for anyone living in Australia," Nikki added.
