UK TV presenter Kate Garraway reveals Christmas 'dream' to see husband in hospital
UK TV presenter Kate Garraway is facing a Christmas without her husband by her side.
Derek Draper has been hospitalised since contracting coronavirus back in March and almost died six times in the aftermath.
"Obviously, my dream is that me and the children can see Derek on Chrismas day in some way," the Good Morning Britain presenter admitted to co-host Ben Shephard.

Garraway revealed she and the couple's two children Darcey, 14, and Billy, 11, were recently forced to isolate after the kids came into contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

They all tested negative but it makes Christmas-time trickier, the mum-of-two admitted.
"The practical challenges with that is we have to keep really safe in order to be able to visit him and isolate.
"Also, it's a question of if we are doing that, can we have my mum and dad there?

"I want to try and avoid, if at all possible, just Darcey, Billy and I on Christmas Day because I think that would make Derek's absence feel huge and the rest of the family's absence feel huge. It's quite a difficult balance to work it all out."

Discussing the difficulty of family get togethers this Christmas, amid rising coronavirus infections in the UK, the 53-year-old said she was finding it "challenging".
"I'm finding it really challenging, I know it's the slightly unique position I'm in but it's also not, as also a lot of people have got people who are vulnerable, who are in the hospital, who are sick with COVID or with other things."

Garraway revealed last month that Draper uttered his first words after 214 days — "pain".
Draper has been placed in an induced coma since he was hospitalised with the illness and his wife has been able to visit once, in July.
It's not known if the two children have been able to visit their father yet.
