Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has marked his wife Sophie’s birthday with a sweet Instagram message.
First Lady Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, a former television host who wed the politician in 2005, turned 46 on Tuesday.
Sharing a photo of the couple kissing, Trudeau tipped his hat to his wife of 13 years.
“Happy birthday to the wonderful wife and mom, whom I’m so lucky to call my best friend,” the 46-year-old wrote.
“Here’s to another year of adventures together. xo.”
This probably goes without saying, but the tribute left plenty of the Prime Minister’s followers swooning.

As with all his Instagram posts, the message was repeated in French, Canada’s second mother tongue.
“Honestly is there a more perfect man?” one wrote.
“Could they BE any cuter?” another said.

The comment was a reference to new footage of Melania Trump visibly resisting her husband's attempts to reach for her hand.

Canada’s first couple began dating in 2003, but had known each other as children growing up in Montreal.
Sophie had been in the same class as Michel Trudeau, Justin’s younger brother, and reconnected with her future husband as adults at a charity event.
They now have three children together: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
Justin Trudeau isn’t the only politician who knows how to pen a swoon-worthy social media tribute to their partner.
Barack and Michelle Obama have practically turned birthday wishes into an art form, thanks to their reciprocal Instagram and Twitter posts each year.
For his wife’s birthday in January, the former US President shared a photo of him gazing lovingly at Michelle.
“You're not only my wife and the mother of my children, you're my best friend,” his caption read.
“I love your strength, your grace, and your determination. And I love you more each day. Happy Birthday.”
The previous year, his tribute read: “To the girl from the South Side who took on a role she didn't ask for and made it her own: Happy Birthday, Michelle. I love you.”
The former First Lady returned serve on her husband’s birthday in August, tweeting, “Another year older, but the same phenomenal guy I married nearly 25 years ago."
