Female anatomy may be taught in school, but it seems that some people leave that knowledge behind once they don their cap and gown — some people being a group of unsuspecting men pulled aside for a routine voxpop.

United States talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel sent a reporter out onto the streets of Los Angeles to see if men could accurately answer questions about women's health.

Questions included how many ovaries women have and what a mammogram is, and a majority of the men had absolutely no idea. Watch above.

This man said women have four fallopian tubes. Those with female sexual organs have two. YouTube

The first two men were asked how many uteruses women have, to which they both incorrectly but confidently answered, "Two!"

After that, they were asked how many fallopian tubes women have, to which they both said — a bit more uncertainly — one.

One man said, "I know I'm gonna be way off, but I'm just gonna say four [fallopian tubes]."

Another man thought women have six ovaries.

When asked what PMS stands for, one man said, "Post Mental Syndrome" and that it happens "once a year, at least."

It actually stands for premenstrual syndrome, and occurs during the luteal phase of the monthly menstrual cycle.

The same man, when asked to point out the cervix on a diagram of the female sexual organs, asked: "Is it on there?"

This man's wife is a gynecologist, who said she was 'mortified' at his answers. YouTube

One man, who was asked to point out the cervix, was doing the voxpop with his wife — who revealed that she actually is a gynecologist.

After her husband couldn't find the cervix or where a baby is housed, she laughed: "I'm so mortified."

"I'm apparently not a very good educator at home with my husband," she laughed.

"Do you know what OBGYN stands for?" the reporter asked the husband, who stumbled his way through pronouncing "obstetrician."

"It's just my profession, it's no big deal," his wife laughed.

He then smiled and pointed to himself when asked to show where the "a--" is on the diagram.
