‘I had to tell them mummy was going to die’: Husband recalls telling his two kids mum wasn't going to make it after she'd been hit by a cyclist
A grieving husband has recalled the heartbreaking moment he had to tell his two children their mother wouldn’t make it home.
Kim Briggs, suffered “catastrophic” injuries after being hit by a cyclist while crossing the road on her lunch break in February last year.
In a letter read out to a London courtroom this week, widower Michael Briggs recalled the difficult moment with the couple’s 11-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son.
"We were a very straightforward, happy London family,” he said.
