One TikTok creator has revealed insider knowledge on how to find out if your partner is talking to anyone else on social media.

User @marahlovesyou has given step-by-step instructions on how to see someone's activity on Instagram and Snapchat, which could help determine if they are being unfaithful.

"So for Instagram, you're going to go on the Safari version of Instagram, so don't click on the app," she instructed.

She also goes into the process for Snapchat.

"Once you've added any of these girls on Snapchat you're going to want to look for any mutual emojis," she said, providing a guide to what different emojis mean on the app.

She says to look out for "mutual BF" and "mutual besties" in particular, as this means there is a user in common between the both of you, and that there has been recent and frequent activity.

"Find someone you trust and you don't need any of this. Tons of guys out there that would never cheat on you," commented another.

"This is very toxic, you should not be teaching someone how to not trust their significant other. All this is going to do is ruin a good relationship," stated one commenter.

However, the creator of the video insists this is an act of self-preservation.
