If you can't stand ironing it might be worth choosing clothes made of linen fabric because removing creases takes just seconds.

Rachael Eppley revealed the simple way she gets her linen garments looking smooth in a TikTok video that has been watched by 1.6 million people so far.

The mum admitted she – like many of us – is "behind on laundry" but having linen clothes makes life easier since they don't always need ironing.

"In case your mom didn't teach you, you can lightly spray linen clothes with water to get wrinkles out," read the text in her video.

All you need is a spray bottle with a little water in it. Then just spritz on your garment – the mist setting is useful for making sure you don't get too much water on it – while wearing it.

Just make sure that when you are spraying your clothes that you are not getting them wet, instead lightly damp is what you're after.

You can see in the video that the water spray hack works very quickly with wrinkles starting to disappear within seconds thanks to the combination of body heat and water.

Theoretically, you could spray your shirt just before leaving the house and be crease-free by the time you reach your destination.

This is a great hack for when you're in a rush, travelling or in the office and have an important meeting to get to.

While Eppeley uses the hack on linen clothes, it has also been known to work on other types of fabrics, which was pointed out in the comments of her video.

"True true you just need a little more water for most other clothes," Eppeley responded.

It can also be done on shirts sitting on a coat hanger if you spot the wrinkles before you get dressed.

Eppeley's followers also shared helpful tips for quickly removing creases without an iron.

"Put wrinkle item in dryer with a damp washcloth and turn it on," one said.

"Throw your wrinkled clothes in the dryer with ice it'll create steam and get the wrinkles out in no time thank me later," another commented.
