The $11.50 Reject Shop buy that removes hidden gunk from drains in minutes
Out of all the cleaning tasks, removing the hidden grime from inside our drains is perhaps the grossest and hardest to do unless you're a plumber.
But a product that's been generating huge buzz on social media promises to make the job easy and even a little bit fun.
Julie Campbell put The Reject Shop's Yugou foam drain cleaner, which costs $11.50, to the test and showed the incredible results in a TikTok video.

"I bought this to try so you don't have to. OMG it actually works," she captioned the TikTok post.
In the video, Campbell showed the instructions on the can and then followed them by shaking the can 10 times before covering the drain with the nozzle.
After a little maneuvering she got the can under the bathroom basin tap so that the nozzle could fit over the sink hole.
Then came the exciting part where Campbell squeezed the can and seconds later pink foam emerged from the overflow hole containing bits of black gunk from inside the drain.

Once the foam has been put in the drain it needs to be left for 30 minutes without running water.
Campbell gave an update at 15 minutes showing all the bits of grime that came up with the foam.
She then washed the residue down the drain, which became a talking point in the comment section.
"You just put it all back again," one said, to which Campbell responded, "Yeah but it was all broken up so would have just slid down the pipes now."

For those who prefer not to wash the grime back down the drain it can be wiped with a paper towel and tossed in the bin.
There was also a question about using the product if you don't have the overflow hole.
"My sink doesn't have the little hole … won't work will it???" they asked.
Another responded, "No, it needs to have the top draining hole/overfill hole or it will just clog your pipes more."
Others who had tried it commented on Campbell's TikTok that the drain cleaner worked well for them too.
"It does work I had to do it twice but it works my sink is the same as yours and was blocked bad," a woman said.

For those who hadn't tried it, Campbell's video was enough to send them straight to The Reject Shop.
"I was convinced this wasn't worth it! But now I'm gunna buy it!!" one commented.
"I'm going to try this in my blocked shower drain," another posted.
