Everyone's been there, you go to take your favourite top off the hanger, only to realise it's still damp.
A $19 Kmart item has sold out online and in almost every store after shoppers realised it solves a common laundry problem.
The shirt dryer claims to dry shirts quickly and wrinkle-free.

The item works by hanging your shirt on it as if it were a clothes hanger. It then blows hot air into the shirt to dry it.
Shopper Michael Jaimie, said the hanger is perfect for trying to dry clothes in winter, as everything takes longer to air dry.
"I've used it a few times when I've woken up, [and] my shirt I've had on the line is still not dry, but I need to quickly chuck it on," he said in a TikTok video.
"You're getting a good current of air... don't be the person who puts a soaking wet shirt on this, this is only gonna work with slightly damp items."

Facebook content creator The Bargain Hacker actually gave the drying hanger a try using a soaking wet shirt, using it over a few hours.
"In a rush, late for work, no dryer or it's raining? This is the perfect little solution," she wrote on Facebook.
"The Kmart Shirt Dryer might look a bit gimmicky but I can see how it would be useful for some people.

"I've tested it, and yes, it does work in a small unventilated space (I closed my laundry window and door)."
She also suggested it would be great for travelling as it compacts down for convenient packing.
The item has sold out online, but there is still stock in a some stores, according to the Kmart website.
Amazon sells a few similar products, ranging in price from $30 to $60.
There's also the Kogan Hands-Free Automatic Ironing Machine, which wears your shirt to iron it, and claims it can dry a shirt within 20 minutes.
The futuristic-looking laundry item will set you back $150.

If you want to go down a more traditional path, Aldi is selling the Electric Winged Heater Airer for $60 during its Special Buys sale on Saturday May 16.
It looks like a regular portable clothes line, but it heats up to help dry garments quicker.

If you're not in the market for a portable shirt dryer, but you still want to quickly dry a shirt, you can always rely on the handy hairdryer trick.
For an almost dry item you need as soon as possible, pull out a hairdryer and run it back and forth over the garment.
It might take a while depending on how wet the item is, but it'll help speed up the process.
