The artistic home in Camperdown will be available for five nights only, from June 3 to 8, at $19.95 per night.

"At a time when many Australians are rethinking what feels attainable, we wanted to create something that puts great design back within reach in a meaningful way," Patricia Routledge, Head of Communications at IKEA Australia and New Zealand, told nine.com.au.

"A long weekend stay in Sydney can quickly add up, so offering a considered, architecturally designed home for $19.95 is intentionally disruptive and grounded in our belief in affordability and showcases our democratic design in real life.

"Importantly though, it is not just about the price point. It is about showing that thoughtful, well-designed spaces can still deliver comfort, joy and a sense of escape without needing to be expensive.

"The IKEA PS 2026 collection is designed to be experienced hands-on, and that's why we wanted to bring it to a real-life home setting in this Inner West house."

The home will be filled with playful yet functional pieces from the collection, including one of the most popular pieces, Knäbäck, a bright green chair filled completely with air.

Also completing the colourful configuration will be the new floor uplighter, a lamp that can be made into a spotlight, a reading lamp, and an uplight, as well as a bright green table, blue and green dining chairs that inspire different ways of lounging, colourful rugs, a foldable chair that transforms into a statement art piece, and more.

For those who prefer neutral colours, they can still get in touch with their playful side with pieces such as the new three-seat sofa bed in white, a side table that resembles a bird house, minimalistic pine shelving, a rattan footstool with hidden storage, and more.

The collection, which is the 10th iteration of the IKEA PS line, acts on the retailer's principle of "democratic design", which aims to make products beautifully designed, highly functional, and affordable.

"What often elevates a space is not how much is spent, but how intentionally it is designed. With IKEA PS 2026, every piece is created to balance price, form, function, quality and affordability, which is at the core of democratic design," says Routledge.

"Our PS collection plays with bold shapes, unexpected materials and multifunctional solutions, so pieces feel expressive but also work hard in everyday life.

"When you layer those elements together, you achieve a space that feels curated and high-end, but still fun. It is about smart design and simplicity ... it is about bringing small moments of joy into everyday routines through design that is both practical and expressive."
