Cleaner reveals a 'mind-blowing' spill cleaning hack using household items

A cleaning expert has found an easy way to clean up spills thanks to a viral hack.

This popular technique claims to effortlessly lifts stains using two household staples, leaving no residue behind.

In a TikTok video, janitor Brandon Pleshek tested the trick which involves cleaning a tomato sauce spill using only a chopping board and a piece of paper towel.

Brandon instructed viewers on the unique technique as he tried it out for the first time: "All you need is a piece of paper towel and a cutting board."

"Just place the cutting board on top of the piece of paper towel and then pull back," he said.

To try this hack, place a piece of paper towel on the counter before placing the cutting board over it.

Leave a tab of paper at the bottom of the cutting board, lifting it over the upwards-facing part of the board so that you can grab and pull the paper from under the board towards yourself in a conveyor belt motion.

"Apparently, it's supposed to just pull it right up from the surface and leave no residue behind," he said before trying the hack and revealing a perfectly clean countertop.

"Wow, okay, I am legit impressed. That really works. If you spill something on your countertop, definitely use this hack," the video concluded.

But some viewers were confused about why Pleshek wouldn't just wipe it up with a paper towel.

"That works, too! This is nice because it doesn't smear all over the counter," he explained.

Other viewers were shocked by the hack's effectiveness: "Mind blown," one wrote. "Okay, what, lol, that was so cool," another added.
