As if cleaning the oven isn't hard enough, the final step of removing the cleaning paste or spray you scrubbed it with makes it even trickier.

Using a damp cloth is the most common way to go but a professional cleaner has an even quicker and more thorough solution.

Kellsie Zapata from Zapatas Cleaning Services recommends a spray bottle filled with water.

In a TikTok and Instagram video, she showed how she uses a spray bottle, which you can get from the supermarket for as little as $2, as part of her oven cleaning process.

"You don't want any cleaning product to stay behind in your oven so it's important to ensure your oven has been rinsed well with water when you are done cleaning it.

"So whether you use dish soap, Bar Keeper's Friend, Easy Off, Scrub Daddy power paste or other cleaning products, once you are done scrubbing, spray water and wipe the oven a few times."

The cleaner also uses the same spray bottle hack to make cleaning showers easier.

It's particularly good for cleaning the exterior side of glass screen doors and cleaning showers that don't have a detachable showerhead.

In terms of the glass on the outside of the shower, Zapata prefers this method to a jug of water because she can "control where the water goes and I won't get splashed".

To use the spray bottle rinsing method for the shower, spray the water after cleaning with your chosen product and then squeegee the excess water off.
