Bluey gnomes return to Bunnings for $19 after becoming so popular they ended up on eBay for $1000

Bluey is returning to Bunnings from Wednesday July 30 thanks to popular demand.

The first collaboration between the hit children's show and the hardware store launched last year with garden gnomes based on the show's characters a particular favourite.

In 2025 the gnomes are back with the return of fan-favourites Hecuba, Tony, Jeremy and the Meditation gnome.

The gnome range has also been expanded with the new Gerald and bride and groom gnomes.

Bluey gnomes are $19 each and expected to be a quick-seller after previously selling out.

"It's clear how much fans connect with the show given how quickly last year's Bluey gnomes flew off the shelves. We know they will be eager to build on their collections, and we're excited to see how customers respond to our new range and in-store activities," Justine Mills, Bunnings general manager marketing, said.

It's worth heading to store as soon as possible after the gnomes ended up selling for ridiculous prices on eBay.

A full set of the original gnomes is currently listed for $1000 on eBay so Bunnings is definitely the place to head to for both the original and new release gnomes at an affordable price.

In addition to the gnomes, there will be Bluey homewares, including the famous kiwi and watermelon kids rugs for $39 and glow in the dark wall stickers for $15.

"What's really exciting this year is that it's all about recreating Bluey and Bingo's bedroom at home. So we have the DIY advice as well as the products to do that," Mills added during an appearance on Today.

For those who love Bunnings merchandise, there will also be Hammerbarn – Bluey's version of Bunnings – merchandise in the form of kids' socks, hats and keyrings from $3.50 to $7.

The products are exclusive to Bunnings and available for a limited time while stocks last.

The Bluey action isn't all about products with plenty of DIY activities and even a family scavenger hunt.

Bunnings' partnership with Bluey was inspired by the Hammerbarn episode of the series, which features a hardware store with striking similarities to Bunnings, that mum and Today newsreader Jayne Azzopardi remembers fondly.

"That Hammerbarn episode is just so accurate... where the dad has the neighbour and he's made his own pizza oven and [says] 'I got it from Hammerbarn'. So off Dad goes to Hammerbarn [to get his own] pizza oven," Azzopardi said.

Hammerbarn features a very Bunnings-like storefront and car park, complete with a sausage sizzle. There is also a store greeter with the staff uniform featuring an apron – but, of course, no red shirt because, well, they're dogs.

The garden and paint section, including the wall of paint samples, also got the Bluey treatment and there is also friendly checkout staff who let Bluey and Bingo use the barcode scanner themselves.
