Aussie shoppers are calling stores every day to secure this $19 lamp
Shoppers are in a frenzy trying to locate Kmart’s new $19 marble portable rechargeable lamp.
The lamp features a marble-look base in a deep burgundy and white colour, with a halo of light around the top.

Shoppers have been keen to get the lamp after seeing it in sneak previews on Instagram and TikTok.
In the first few days after its release customers claimed on social media that they’d had trouble finding the lamp in store. However, Kmart confirmed on June 25 that stock is now in stores and online.
Shopper Stacey Frohloff, shared a video from her car when she couldn’t get hold of the lamp.
“There is no way that I am the only person that ran to Kmart straight away this morning for the new portable, rechargeable marble lamp that I kept seeing for it not to be there,” she said.
Customers commented that they also had trouble finding the lamp at first.
“I went to two Kmarts today lol they said everyone asking and they don’t have it,” shared one.
“I got one in Target” one said.
One diligent shopper shared, “My local Kmart guy said he had 40+ calls since the weekend asking about them. He said they’re on the truck and if I call every day, he can put it aside.”
A customer who managed to find the lamp in store before it was even put on shelves described securing one as like winning “the Hunger Games”.
Another was able to get lamps for both herself and a friend after the product listing went live on the Kmart site.
“Keep going in and out to check I did a few times and was able to score 4 online, 2 for me and 2 for a friend, maybe about 10 mins ago play around with cart,” the said.

For those looking for an alternative for the popular lamp, they’ll have to pay a significant amount more.
The closest item possible is the marble luxury stone rechargeable touch table lamp from Amazon, which retails for $179.59, though it seems to be a bit shorter than Kmart’s.
Temple and Webster has a fully marble-look lamp in the same shape for $99.95. Named the Piper Marble Cordless LED Table Lamp, it comes in both burgundy and moss green.
Ikea's MARKFROST Table lamp is another affordable alternative. IKEA
Freedom’s Murphy table lamp, which retails for $101, differs in that the lamp shade is in the shape of an orb and sits above the marble base rather than surrounding the top. The marble portion is also a lot shorter, though Temple and Webster’s Medina Marble & Glass Table Lamp is similar and has a longer base.
Another good alternative is IKEA’s Markfrost table lamp, which has a black marble-look base and a more oval orb on top, retailing for $29.99.
