Aldi slashes $50 off the price of its lawn mower for gardening-themed Special Buys

With the end of summer in sight, the time is now to get the lawn and garden in shape before the cooler weather hits.

And if you need a new lawn mower to do it, Aldi is offering the Petrol Mower 173cc for less than it sold it in 2019, and a whole $50 cheaper than last year.

The mower costs $249 and arrives in store on Saturday February 18 as part of this week's Special Buys.

There is also a 4-stroke edger available for $229 to help you get perfect edges for a lawn that really makes the neighbours jealous.

Another product to look out for if you're after something a bit more versatile is the 6-in-1 multi garden tool.

The $199 appliance has a pole saw, edger, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, brush cutter and blower so you can cut your trees into shape and then clean up the leaves without switching gadgets.

If it's gardening you need to do, you can get some gloves to protect your hands from soil and spiky plants with leather rigger garden gloves for just $7.99.

For anyone trying to save cash on groceries by growing your own vegetables and herbs, you can pretty much get everything you need to set up your vegie garden too.

Aldi has a 182L Slimline garden bed in slate and charcoal colours for $29.99 each, a 22L bag of potting mix for just $2.99, a bag of sugar cane mulch for $9.99 and vegetable and herb seeds for $1.69 each.

That means you could create a backyard vegie garden with these specials for under $50.

To protect your seedlings as the weather cools down, you can also pick up a lean-to greenhouse for $29.99 during this Saturdays Special Buys.
