Man discovers hidden box in wall of home during renos: 'How horror movies start'

A couple who recently purchased a 1920s home have made a number of mysterious discoveries as they renovate the residence.

The pair, who has been sharing their finds on TikTok @geebbtv, have been busy pulling down unwanted parts of the home, including walls and flooring, and it seems every time they remove something they find another item.

One of their first creepy finds has been a hidden room behind a wall.

They also discovered an old and worn copy of the Holy Bible and a suitcase in the attic. Inside it, they found a cross made out of wood and what appears to be an item of clothing.

But it's a box discovered behind a wall in the attic that has piqued the most interest.

The locked wooden box also featured a pentagram carved into one side and the Welsh words "peidiwch ar ryddhau", which translates to mean "do not release".

With no key to open the box, the couple continued with their renovations, eventually finding a key for the box.

Inside, they found a small pendant necklace and a burned piece of a Ouiji board, which is used to contact spirits. Also in the box was a lock of hair and a second key — but to what?

"This is literally the plot to 99% of horror movies," writes one terrified TikTok user.

"I would take picture of it and go to local witchcraft shop and ask what they think," another advises. "If it's hidden and closed it is clear that you shouldn't even."

"My toxic trait is seeing it says don't open and opening it anyway," adds another.

The video of the couple's discovery has been viewed 6.4 million times by intrigued TikTok followers.

They found yet another box, this time hidden under the floor boards.

They open it using a series of tools, however are yet to reveal what was inside.

"Wanting to know what's inside," one comment reads.

Another person speculates: "It's a disembodied human spirit that, because of former sins, wanders restlessly until it finds a haven in the body of a living person it can possess."

"He just released a demon into your house," adds another.
