Hillary Clinton opens up about "gutsy" decision to stay with cheating husband Bill Clinton
Hillary Clinton has spoken about her "gutsy" decision to stay with cheating husband, former US President Bill Clinton, admitting it isn't "for everybody".
Clinton, 74, has spoken about her difficult choice as part of a new eight-part docuseries co-produced with daughter Chelsea Clinton for Apple TV called Gutsy, a spinoff of the mother and daughter's 2019 release The Book of Gutsy Women.
"You have a marriage that has been on public display since the beginning," Clinton was asked while being interviewed by Reverand Whittney Ijanaten.
"You said the gutsiest thing you ever did was stay in your marriage."

To which Clinton responded: "That doesn't mean that's right for everybody."
Clinton, former secretary of state and two-time Democratic presidential candidate has been married to husband Bill since 1975.
In 1998 it was revealed then-US President Bill Clinton had engaged in an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. This remains one of the biggest scandals to have ever rocked US politics.
He admitted in taped grand jury testimony on August 17, 1998, that he had engaged in an "improper physical relationship" with Lewinsky and that evening gave a nationally televised statement admitting that his relationship with Lewinsky was "not appropriate".

Bill was also accused of having had several other affairs in the lead up to this scandal.
Hilary Clinton has previously spoken out about her decision to stay in her marriage in her book What Happened.
"I don't believe our marriage is anyone's business… But I know that a lot of people are genuinely interested. Maybe you're flat out perplexed," she wrote.
"There were times that I was deeply unsure about whether our marriage could or should survive," she added, never mentioning her husband's infamous infidelities.

"But on those days I asked myself the question that mattered most to me: Do I still love him? And can I still be in this marriage without becoming unrecognisable to myself-twisted by anger, resentment, or remoteness.
"The answers were always yes. So I kept going," she explained.

She continued: "I know some people wonder why we're still together. I heard it again in the 2016 campaign: that "we must have an arrangement" (we do, it's called a marriage): that I helped him become President and then stayed so he could help me become President (no); that we lead completely separate lives, and it's just a marriage on paper now (he is reading this over my shoulder in our kitchen with our dogs underfoot.)"
Her husband's scandal-plagued presidency resurfaced during her own presidential campaign in 2016 where she ultimately lost to Donald Trump.

The docuseries, Gutsy, which premieres on September 9, includes interviews with mother and daughter Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, Wanda Sykes Dr. Jane Goodall.
