Mum shares simple trick to help kids do homework

It usually starts off well; your first child starts school and they're pretty excited at first, so getting them to do their homework isn't hard at all.

In fact, some of them BEG for it. Some - not all.

Sometimes this lasts most of that first year, and you end up feeling so #proud.

Then they start into their second, third, fourth years and suddenly they don't want to do homework so easily anymore.

Or your second child starts school and wrangling two of them to do more work after a six-hour-school day isn't so simple.

Enter the bribes: food, money to spend on gaming, their favourite dinners.

You name it, and there's a parent somewhere offering it to their kids if they'll just please do their homework.

I have three children aged 15, 11 and 10, and it took me years to figure out how to get them all to do their homework.

In the end, all it took was the removal of every single possible obstacle to them sitting down and getting busy. AND, one item that transformed the entire process.
