Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid receives explicit photo from viewer

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid has received an explicit photo on Twitter after posting about the show's recent rating win.

Reid, 52, took to Twitter to write: "RATINGS! Thanks to all the wonderful viewers who turned into @gmb yesterday – our audience peaked at more than 1 million viewers.

"Back tomorrow with @edballs and another packed show."

While most of Reid's Twitter followers took the opportunity to share her sentiments, one misguided follower thought it would be the perfect opportunity to send her a 'd--k pic.'

The image showed a man in his bedroom naked along with the phrase: "Ding dong."

Reid responded: "Barry I think it's probably not a good idea to tweet this."

Others Twitter followers kept their clothes on and praised Reid and co-host Ed Balls.

"Love it when you and Ed Balls present, you both look so comfortable with each other and it just works. Hopefully this will become a permanent fixture," one commented.

"That's great news Susanna, I'm so pleased for you and all at GMB, truly enjoyed watching yesterdays program before my very Early shift. You and Ed are truly the perfect partnership, it truly works and a lot of the viewers like you being with Ed on GMB," another said.

Reid also shared a wardrobe malfunction she suffered in the early hours, explaining she had a last-minute wardrobe change when the dress she was wearing blended into the image of buildings in the background.

Reid changed into a red dress however it gaped dramatically at the front. A wardrobe staffer quickly sewed a large button onto the bust to ensure the frock was appropriate for breakfast TV.

Good Morning Britain has undergone a tumultuous couple of years following the resignation of controversial host Piers Morgan from the ITV show.

Morgan took issue with Meghan Markle's claims of mental ill health during her time working with the royal family following her marriage to Prince Harry. Morgan sparred on air with colleague Alex Beresford, saying he didn't believe her claims.

Tweeting following his resignation, he said "freedom of speech is a hill I'm happy to die on". He added: "Thanks for all the love, and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions."

Morgan now hosts Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV and Sky News.

He and Reid remain friends, with Reid telling The Sun the pair are still in contact.

"We stay in touch," she told the publication. "And he's a really important person in my life. We had such an amazing time and that was an incredible dynamic."
