Former AFL WAG and mother-of-two thought she had the perfect life, till it came crumbling down around her last year.

Abby Glimore has told Herald Sun of the text message that turned her life upside down - from a 17-year-old girl who claimed to be in a sexual relationship with her then-fiancé, Jake Stringer,23.

The message came weeks after the birth of their second daughter, Arlo -- now one, their older daughter Milla is three -- with the teen allegedly telling her of the infidelity, which had supposedly been going on for four months.

“When I confronted him, Jake said, ‘I’m so sorry I love you’,” Abby claims, adding: “I was embarrassed.”

“We all constantly scroll through other people’s perfect lives on social media. I thought I had that perfect life and so was ashamed when it all came crumbling down.”

Abby says in the interim time, she felt unsupported by the Bulldogs club.

“When it all blew up I was turned away from the club. I couldn’t believe it, the senior people just didn’t want to hear me out,” she alleges.

But Abby credits the Bulldogs players who “showed they cared”, saying, “I’m proud of them for that”.

“They were disgusted by his behaviour, doing that to me when I was pregnant. They let him know it,” Abby claims.

Abby also revealed she battle with depression following their split after a decade together but has chosen to air the family’s dirty laundry in a bid to empower herself and get some control back.

The 24-year-old says she wants to be an example for her daughters and to show them staying in a toxic relationship just to have a roof over their heads isn’t the answer.

Earlier this month, the mother-of-two wrote an open letter to Milla and Arlo on her blog According To Abby, apologising to them.

“Please know that I’m not angry at you, I’m angry at how I ended up in this position. I’m angry at life for putting me on this path. I’m angry at the fact that someone can feel this kind of pain and the lack of support from certain people is astounding.”

Since leaving her relationship behind, Abby now happily dating a man from outside of the football world and has started training as a counsellor, with plans to run confidence boosting classes for other women through her Love Yo’self workshops.

And while she’s not quite where she expected to be at this point in her life, Abby says she’s determined to forge ahead on this new path.
