Popular yoghurt brand changes its recipe
Yoplait yoghurt has been a dairy favourite in Australian for over 40 years. That's a long time to be scooped onto breakfast, spooned out of tubs and packed into lunchboxes.
But the staying power of the yoghurt brand is that fans love its thick and creamy texture.

Now, after 40 years, Yoplait is changing its yoghurt recipe. Should lovers of the creamy stuff be worried? According to Yoplait Marketing Director, Sharon Winton, the answer is no, because it's going to be even creamier and fruitier than before.
That's good news for people who have been loving the brand since it was first introduced to Australia in 1982.
Winton is proud that Yoplait continues to evolve and maintains its place as a trusted and loved yoghurt brand.

"Yoplait was a pioneer of flavoured yoghurt in Australia, bringing Aussies the first taste of flavoured multipacks and shaping the way we eat yoghurt," Winton says. "The brand has continued to adapt with consumers, and we love that kids who grew up eating Yoplait are now choosing it for their own families, and we can't wait for them to try our best Yoplait yet".

The company's research discovered that while taste is the number one driving force behind the brands popularity, the creamy texture and the high fruit content were also a big part of it.

So it wasn't without careful consideration that a new recipe was sought. Yoplait trialed several recipes before settling on this new one and it features features an even creamier texture and more pieces of real fruit in the mix.
It's still made with milk, and has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Currently Australians consume approximately 7.5kg of yoghurt per capita annually, so it's a pretty safe bet that we'll all be trying the new recipe soon.
The new Yoplait core range is now available nationally in 1kg, 12 x 100g and 6 x 160g multipacks and you will find it at Coles, Woolworths and selected independent grocers.
