Woolworths shopper reveals how she slashed her grocery bill by over $500
A Woolworths customer has revealed how she managed to pay just $62 of her $602 Christmas grocery bill.
The Aussie shopper posted her savings hack in a Facebook group called Markdown Addicts Australia, revealing how being a Woolies rewards member saved her hundreds.
She explained how her bill came to over $600. She received a 10 per cent discount, capped at $50, for using the Everyday Rewards Extra program.
Thanks to previous purchases using the rewards program, she received a $470 discount which she had held until the festive season.
She also had eight times bonus points on her shop, giving her another $20 off.

As a result, the customer saved $540 on her shop.
By being a Woolworths rewards member, customers can save their points throughout the year with a nifty "Bank for Christmas" option.

"My score for the day," she wrote in her post, which received over a hundred comments from impressed shoppers.
One person commented how they saved $20 by using the same tactic.
"I was similar. Did a $520 shop, got the $52 off for my discount, $420 off with Christmas rewards," another said.

A Woolworths spokesperson said the "Bank for Christmas" option for Everyday Rewards members was hugely popular with almost 14 million users Australia wide.
