Woolworths set to launch 'delicious' rainbow twist on classic mud cake
Shoppers are sharing their excitement after Woolworths announced a colourful twist on their beloved mud cake.
A birthday party-themed mud cake is hitting Woolworths shelves in all states and territories for $6.80 on Wednesday, May 31, while stock lasts.
The new flavour is a special edition of the classic chocolate cake and features a rich vanilla mud cake with white chocolate ganache, topped with rainbow sprinkles and cookie pieces.

The supermarket giant has released limited-edition flavours of the mud cake before, including Chocolate Orange, Mint Cookies and Cream and Caramelised White Choc.
Some lucky shoppers have managed to nab themselves one of the highly-anticipated Birthday Party cakes already, despite the product having not officially launched in stores yet.
A Melbourne food blogger who goes by @nectoriouspapi1 posted his review on TikTok, claiming the new dessert is "one of the best flavours they've ever brought out".
The TikToker urged shoppers to #rundontwalk to buy the limited-edition cake before stock runs out.

The video, which has amassed over 370 000 views, has been flooded by shoppers who are anxious to try the cake themselves.
"It's a need", one person wrote.
"I hope they make this permanent because my birthday isn't until October", another commented under the video.
Others maintained that even with the anticipation to try the new flavour, "nothing will beat" the supermarket's chocolate mud cake, which has been a longtime classic.

Another food blogger, AngeEats, posted a TikTok clip where he described the "delicious" new cake as tasting like "a birthday party in my mouth".
"Biscuit is insane, the cake is soft and spongy. Don't miss out on this guys, go get it because it's limited edition", Ange Eats told his almost 150 000 followers in his review.
"Such a picture perfect cake", one user commented.
Another user claimed it tasted like Woolworth's rainbow "mini cupcakes...but bigger".
