'It's the future': Massive change hitting humble Aussie classic Violet Crumble

One of Australia's favourite crumbly chocolates is getting a makeover... well, kind of.

Classic crunchy sweet treat Violet Crumble is coming in hot with a fresh flavour. And when we say fresh, we mean minty-fresh specifically.

From Monday, February 26, the brand, spanking new flavour – Violet Crumble Mint Cubes – will be on grocery store shelves.

CEO of Menz Confectionary Phil Sims says: "Fans of Violet Crumble love to be surprised with new flavour combos they don't expect, and we suspect Violet Crumble Mint Cubes will be a hit with fans, who may even like it more than the original!"

Available exclusively at Coles supermarkets Australia-wide in 130 gram bags, the RRP of Violet Crumble Mint Cubes is $5.

It's the same Violet Crumble you all know and love – honeycomb covered in milk chocolate – but it packs a minty punch.

Food influencer Russ Eats got a sneak peek of the sweet treat, telling his TikTok followers earlier this month that "…it's spot on! It is a Violet Crumble with [mint] flavouring infused through it and it works. Flavoured honeycomb I think is the future!"

It's not the first time we've seen Violet Crumble change things up in its 111-year history.

Among the snack's slew of recent flavour reinventions include Raspberry Twist, Dark Choc and Caramel.
