Twisties announce new Spicy Ramen flavour, the spiciest taste yet

It's Twisties with a twist.

The popular snack brand has released the "spiciest Twistie ever made" with the launch of the new Spicy Ramen flavour.

The limited-edition treat promises to challenge and delight chip lovers, ramen fans and heat enthusiasts alike.

With a complex mix of spice – incorporating red chilli, ginger and black pepper – these chips are sure to pack a punch.

Just like a spicy bowl of ramen the Spicy Ramen Twisties will deliver the "delicious heat that spice-lovers crave".

Melanie Saluni, Twisties Brand manager, says that the new flavour is "the ultimate spicy delight".

"Embracing and celebrating the cult following of ramen means we've been able to create the perfect sizzling bite - one that we know Twisties fans will jump at the chance to try," she said.

According to Twisties, the chip has a "rich and smooth" flavour that is uniquely balanced with an "umami twist".

"It's such a unique flavour that will deliver ramen-lovers everything they crave from their favourite dish, as well as mixing in a spicy plot-twist as the hottest Twistie we've ever made," Saluni explained.

The new flavour takes inspiration from the viral spicy ramen challenge where social media users test their limits with an infamously spicy pack of ramen.

This is not the first time Twisties have branched out with a unique flavour.

Early last year the brand released a twisted raspberry flavour and later in the year released a cinnamon donut flavour in collaboration with Donut King.

The interesting flavours sent snack-lovers into a frenzy.

Those keen to try the ramen-inspired chip can do so right now. The new Twisties Spicy Ramen is available today for $2.70, exclusively in 7-Eleven stores.

It will make its way to other retailers including Coles, Woolworths and IGA from 2 May.
