The internet has mixed feelings about this woman peeling a peach

Innocent footage has some folks strangely hot under the collar.

A Japanese Twitter user has unintentionally attracted a lot of attention over the last couple of weeks after posting a clip of someone gently peeling away the skin of an entire peach in mere seconds.

Twitter user @HOOOOJICHA shared the neat fruit peeling trick on July 19, and Twitter proceeded to lose its mind – the clip has since been shared over 52,000 times, though it's worth pointing out that the fuss surrounding the video has been for a few very different reasons.

Admittedly, the way in which the set of hands in the clip effortlessly slip off the peach's skin in one motion is mesmerising in itself (watch it above). Users attribute this act of "wizardry" to blanching the fruit first, then pulling the skin off from its seam-like peachy indentations.

However, other folks were simply besides themselves that you could – or even should – peel the nutrient-dense skin of the fragrant fruit.

"If I have supposed to be peeling peaches this entire time. My whole life is a lie," writes one Twitter user.

"Losing all the nutrients, smh [shaking my head]," writes another.

Then there was that last band of commentators, who found the fruit's resemblance to another body part a little too suggestive or creepy for their liking.

One user bluntly notes: "I'm uncomfortable," while another user appears downright offended by the footage: "That's vulgar. I don't go for that kinda humor [sic]."
