Swedish nerd shows how to start a fire with a lemon
Need to build a fire, but left your matches at home? No worries! All you need to get that campfire blazing is a lemon, six copper clips, six zinc nails, a piece of wire, some steel wool… Ah, screw it.
Let's be honest; you'll probably not be using this survivalist hack on your next camping trip.
And yet, sure as you'll never, ever create a fire with a lemon, you'll still watch and enjoy this bizarre act of bush sorcery because at the end of the day, the man has figured out how to create fire with a lemon, and that's nothing to sneeze at.
The mesmerising clip showing Andree, aka NorthSurvival, demonstrating how to turn a humble lemon into an electrical conductor that can start fires at a whim, has already racked up thousands of views in just a few days—not to mention a few raised eyebrows over the suspiciously familiar intro.
If the "where safety is number-one priority" catch line in an over-the-top Russian accent at the beginning of the clip sounds a little too familiar, that's because the Swedish native is parodying zany YouTube sensation CrazyRussianHacker, who incidentally released a similarly important survivalist tutorial on the same day showing how to start a fire with Nutella (do we sense a bit of rivalry there, boys?).
