Study reveals that Hip-Hop makes cheese taste better

We're going to speak for cheese lovers everywhere, when we profess that cheese is a fundamental part of what makes us happy.

But it turns out that our beloved cheese could taste a lot better if we made one minor tweak.

Play it some Hip-Hop music.  

New research has emerged from Bern University of Arts that tested different styles of music and its overall impact on smell, taste and overall flavour of cheese.

Eight wheels of emmental were subjected to a selection of music genres that were played relentlessly.

Researchers blasted a range of genres including Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”, Mozart’s “Magic Flute Opera” and A Tribe Called West’s most recent album.

The music was injected straight into the cheese via transmitters, and the outcome was surprising.

As it happens cheese and beats are a good match.

Researchers noted big taste differences in the cheese samples that had been exposed to the Hip-Hop music (i.e. A Tribe Called West).

The ageing process was complete and it was found that “cheese exposed to hip hop music displayed a discernibly stronger smell and stronger fruitier taste than the other test samples”.

“The hip hop sample topped the list of all cheese exposed to music in terms of fruitiness..(it) was the strongest of these in terms of smell and taste”.
