Nigella Lawson's unusual breakfast Christmas trifle is a hit with fans
Christmas Day means that all food norms go out the window – and by that we mean that it's perfectly acceptable to chow down on sweets for breakfast.
Well, it seems that celebrity chef Nigella Lawson agrees with us on this one after sharing a clip to Instagram of how she makes her Christmas breakfast trifle.
In partnership with a UK online grocer, Ocado, the British chef said: "I have a little something in mind for Christmas day morning and that is a breakfast trifle – fresh and fruity."

Lawson starts off her breakfast trifle with a layer of lady fingers, frozen berries mixed with marmalade and clementine zest.
"I put the fruit on frozen, I shall leave it out overnight and it can greet me in the morning," she said.
For a healthy swap, Lawson combines Greek yoghurt with some cream and marmalade to top off the trifle. She then sprinkles some chopped pistachios et voila.

The celebrity chef revealed her breakfast trifle recipe offers her "calm on Christmas day."
The controversial take on a Christmas classic had Lawson's Instagram followers divided.
"Oh yes. I might not even wait until Christmas for this. Saturday mornings might have just got so much better," one excited viewer wrote.

Another user simply said: "What a heavenly way to start a day."
However, others were not so impressed with the decadent and festive breakfast.
"Nah, English muffins with scrambled eggs and salmon for us on Christmas morning," one user writes.

Other Instagram viewers complained about the indulgent amount of sugar and carbs in the meal,
"Can you cook proper food like Egusi soup and pounded yam? Everyday sugar this and sugar that."
The glamorous chef is supposedly a long-time fan of the UK online grocer. Moreover, Ocado has even created a 'Nigella Loves' section on their website, which includes recipes and Lawson's favourite products.
