The solution to coffee-breath may be here, thanks to the creativity of a few Melbourne baristas.

Brewing up the country's first coffee that claims to leave you with minty-fresh breath, Undercover Roaster's has launched a mint-choc-flavoured coffee. Yes, really.

The cafe's 'Mint Mocha', released this week, pairs smooth beans with hand-ground Eclipse mints to offer a fresh sensation.

The mints are first blended in a Thermomix, before being melted into a liquid and injected in the cafe's signature milk-chocolate orb.

Forming a bright green, chocolate and mint-infused accoutrement, the orb is then dropped into the coffee-lover's beverage of choice.

The result? A molten mouthful of minty-fresh, chocolate-loaded coffee.

"We're excited to reveal a new coffee variant we've been working on for some time."

Bilal said the Mint Mocha came to fruition after customers increasingly wished they had a "fresher" mouth feeling after drinking coffee.

"The idea behind our Mint Mocha is, by the time you finish your coffee, you'll be drinking the melted down orb," he explained.

"The last thing you'll taste is eclipse mints — a flavour that'll leave you with fresher breath than you'd receive from your standard coffee."

The coffee is infused with a "spearmint" flavour, to which Bilal claims is both a "surprise" and "delight to the palette."

Crafted after hours of experimenting with different flavours, Bilal noted, "we felt the aroma and taste of our house coffee blend was complemented by the percentage of minty fresh aftertaste."

While the cafe is exclusively located in Melbourne, retailing for $4.50 a cup, Undercover Roasters are retailing the "Mint Mocha" online for national consumption.
