A Tuscan-style chicken recipe nicknamed "Marry Me Chicken" is still taking FoodTok (Foodie TikTok) by storm months after becoming a social media hit.

Consisting of succulent chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes, and a creamy, aromatic sauce, this date-night dish is so good it's guaranteed to impress your sweetie.

Not only is this one-pot dish supposedly meant to result in a prompt proposal, but it is also ridiculously easy to prepare and takes just 25 minutes to make.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 chicken breast

  • ½ cup of flour 

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika

  • 2 tbsp of oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp garlic

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup parmesan

  • ⅓ cup Sun dried tomatoes

  • Red pepper flakes, oregano and thyme

  • Fresh basil

  • Pasta or rice to serve

  1. Cut up chicken breast for the desired amount of people.

  2. Season half a cup of flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.

  3. Coat the chicken breast in the flour mixture and set them aside.

  4. In a pan on medium heat, combine two tablespoons of oil and two tablespoons of butter.

  5. Cook your chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the crust is golden.

  6. Remove the chicken from your pan and add two tablespoons of garlic minced garlic then deglaze your pan with a cup of chicken broth.

  7. Lower the heat and add a cup of cream and a cup of parmesan cheese.

  8. As the sauce thickens, add red pepper flakes, oregano and thyme as well as ⅓ cup of sun dried tomatoes.

  9. Serve the chicken and sauce over a serving of pasta or rice.

One TikTok food creator, Chace Kitchen, has transformed the indulgent dish into an even heartier one by adding elements of chicken noodle soup to make Marry Me Chicken noodle soup.

In her video, she began by searing her seasoned chicken breasts in a hot pot, taking them off when they were sealed.

Then she poured the oil from sundried tomatoes to the pan, along with onions, garlic, and her chosen vegetables – carrot, celery, and parsnips.
