Man shocks the internet with his McDonald's ritual

Here at 9Kitchen, we're very open-minded about how some people choose to consume their food. Do you want to dip your tuna sandwich in fruit cordial? Go for it. Want to add water to your Cornflakes instead of milk? Live your best life. But there is one sacrosanct food item that we believe can not, should not, must not be adulterated.

And that is the humble chicken nugget.

But today, one McDonald's customer took to social media, in open defiance of all things holy, and shared with the world this one bizarre ritual that he completes every time he orders a chicken McNugget meal from the fast food chain.

Sameer Jafri posted a single image to his Facebook page, accompanied by the question, “Do y’all peel your nuggets?”

I'm sorry, do we... what?

The photo shows five stark-naked nuggs standing to attention in the corner of a folded-open box, staring, as if in horror, at the mound of their beautiful, battered skin piled in the foreground of the image.

And literally nobody took it well.

The sight of these bare nuggets, cold and exposed for the world to see, caused a whole lot of controversy across the internet.

The post was shared almost 19,000 times, with more than 5,000 people commenting on what has been described as a “monstrous” act.

Some people suggested the very deliberate and merciless technique of skinning a chicken McNugget gave off “serial killer vibes”, while others said it was just a “damn disgrace”.

Several others declared they were “deeply, deeply disturbed”.

Whether Sameer was intentionally trying to rile up the well-intentioned advocates of this crunchy treat, or whether he truly is host to a malevolent demonic force, we have officially declared that human beings have ruined the chicken nugget.
