Lightbulb drinks still trending—despite Kmart meth pipe controversy

Fans of the quirky drink trend appear to be oblivious to its more sinister connection.

Last week, Kmart Australia online was lambasted and subsequently pressured into withdrawing a set of cute lightbulb-shaped drinking jars from their online shop—which seems like an extreme reaction to a quirky product, until you realise that the said vessels bear a striking resemblance to a makeshift meth pipe.

The retail giant promptly removed the illicit drug paraphernalia look-alike, described as "a great addition to your tableware", from its online listings when they were made aware of the gaffe—however, not before stunned customers took to the Kmart Facebook page to express their disgust.
