The nostalgic fan favourite first appeared on KFC's menus in 2007 and has only returned once since then, in 2021.

KFC has clearly heard the cries for its comeback on Instagram: "Bring these juicy babes back", "It's time. Bring it back", "Bring back the hot rods!!!!"

Hot Rods won't be available in South Australia, with another surprise menu item set to take its place.

It's just $4.95 for two Hot Rods and a side of aioli, and if you order via the fast-food giant's app, this snack is available at the discounted price of $2.95.

The KFC app also gives customers other discounts and promotions, which change with new offers.
