It's been 100 years since Australia's love affair with breakfast cereal began.

In 1924, Kellogg's brought the beloved Corn Flakes® cereal to Australian soil, and they now produce a whopping 42 million kilograms of cereal every year.

Over time, the factory has produced more than 100 billion bowls of delicious cereal for Aussies to enjoy.

The company, now known as Kellanova, has produced some of Australia's most beloved cereals such as Nurti-Grain® and Just Right®.

Anthony Holme, Managing Director at Kellanova ANZ, said, "When you wake up this morning and enjoy your bowl of Kellogg's® cereal, know that there have been one hundred years of Aussies doing the same."

For the past 100 years, Kellogg's has attempted to source as many of their ingredients from local Aussie farmers as possible, and today more than 87 per cent of the ingredients used to make the cereal in Botany are sourced locally.

Let's take a look back at some of the company's biggest milestones over the past 100 years.

Machinery specialist Morris Raymer arrived in Sydney in 1924.

His job was to set up the equipment to make Corn Flakes® and kickstart the first home of Kellogg's cereal production in Australia.

The machine was set up in a rented building in Chippendale and produced 50,000 cases of cereal each week.

Corn Flakes® went crazy here in Australia, which called for a dedicated Kellogg's factory to be built.

The new plant in Botany, Sydney is still the site used to this day to produce Kellogg's cereal products in Australia.

Over the years, the factory has undergone several updates to meet the increasing demand and advancements in manufacturing capabilities.
