The royal couple's first stop was Aras an Uachtarain where they met with President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina, signed the visitor's book and posed for photos.

The Duke and Duchess then enjoyed afternoon tea with the president and first lady, which included a cup of the popular cult tea Barry's Irish tea with shamrock-shaped biscuits and cake.

The tea is available in Coles and Woolworths and is one of Ireland's most recognised teas. According to their website, their Gold Blend "is known to be Ireland's favourite tea" — and now Kate's after this visit.

The Duchess is a big fan of tea, and usually enjoys it with a dash of milk.

Barry's tea says they're a "tea that enriches every moment", which may be true after she gracefully laughed off the first lady's comment that the royal family has "had lots of exciting things happening".
