Aussie shoppers are going wild over a $6.99 purchase from Harris Farm.

For those partial to a sweet treat after dinner, what better as a palette cleanser than a rich and creamy chocolate mousse?

A version of the popular dessert from Harris Farm has caught the attention of dessert fiends on social media for its "unbeatable texture".

TikToker tries "viral" mousse

After just one spoonful of the "viral" mousse, one shopper gushed they "get the hype".

Content creator Roch taste-tested the grocery retailer's version of a classic chocolate mousse recipe in a video posted to her thousands of followers.

The 300 gram tub costs $6.99 on the Harris Farm website.

"Wow," the TikToker said after the first taste.

"It's very sweet. Very, very sweet. But I get the hype. It makes sense."

"This is quite yummy," she added, then pairing the mousse with a strawberry.

While noting it was perhaps a little too sweet for her, she said the texture of the mousse is "amazing" and the chocolate used in the dish is "really good".

After trying the sweet treat, the Aussie remarked it was indeed "good".

While the mousse has been getting rave reviews, shoppers were quick to chime in with other recommendations for where to try the dessert.

"You have to try the Yalla dark chocolate mousse from Harris farm it's INSANE," one person suggested in the comments section of Roch's video.

The Yalla range from Harris Farm comes in a traditional 120 gram chocolate mousse for $5.99, a 300 gram version for $9.99, and a 120 gram raspberry chocolate tub for $5.99.
