This driveable remote-controlled truck is a cake in disguise

Gone are the days where the Birthday Cake Book was the pinnacle of child-appropriate cooking. These days, kids have grown up around gourmet cooking shows, macarons and croquembouches and have become much more discerning as a result.

But just when you think things couldn't get any worse, the bar has just been raised again, with one woman successfully baking a remote-controlled truck cake.

A video of the drivable dessert was posted on the Facebook page of the Hong Kong-based Pandora Cake Shop less than a week ago, but has already been watched more than 1.3 million times.

The impressive device is entirely edible (other than the wires and wheels, of course) and makes playing with your food quite acceptable.  

So if you really want to impress the kids for their next birthday, you better add a working knowledge of electronics to your skillset before you plan the cake.
