Domino's launch bizarre new pizza creation - and it got us thinking about our favourites over the years
Today, Domino's announced one of their bravest releases yet – meat pie stuffed crust.
It's exactly what it sounds like. Rather than the regular cylindrical shape of a crust, the dough instead wraps around a small meat pie, a special treat when you get to the end of your pizza slice.
The newest limited edition crust is a collaboration with Four and Twenty, combining two of Australia's favourite meals.

Our office had the privilege of taste testing the new creation, and while some said they prefer to eat their pizza and pie separately, others marveled at the innovation.
"This would go off at a kids' party though," one person pointed out.
"Also as someone who generally doesn't love the doughiness of cheaper pizzas I was actually delighted to get an extra surprise (and extra toppings) by the time I made it to the crust."
Another was baffled.
"Never in my life have I eaten a piece of pizza and yearned for it to be a meat pie," they said, still confused after finishing the slice.
But our teams mixed reactions got us thinking – what other creations have Domino's released over the years?
We've taken a look back at all the wild and whacky creations, and these are some of the most memorable...
Cheesy Vegemite
Back in 2021, you could buy a Vegemite pizza topped with oozing mozzarella cheese, but years before they launched one with a Vegemite crust.
A member of our team described said crust as "absolute GOD TIER food".
"It was a thing when I was at uni so its been like at least 10 years, but I still think about it," they smiled.
I mean, you can't go wrong with the Vegemite and cheese combo, and whoever decided to then add that onto a pizza is a genius.
BBQ Burst
This one is a real throwback.
BBQ burst was the Domino's first ever foray into the world of wild and whacky specialty crusts.
The tangy BBQ burst sealed inside the base may seem basic today, but it was revolutionary back in 2005 with Domino's stores bursting with orders nationwide.

Puff-ection
This one was first introduced back in 2006, but we've seen it make a grand return time and time again because fans just can't get enough of it.
One member of our team declared Domino's puff pastry crust as "the best thing they ever did".
Think perfectly crispy base with flaky, crunchy golden pastry waiting for you at the end of the slice.
Cheesy Crust
In the words of one of our team members, "nothing beats a good cheesy crust".
This is the only option on our list that is currently available at Domino's, and for good reason.
Cheesy crust has stood the test of time and remained a fan favourite simply because, "it's like an extra treat at the end of your slice of pizza".

Double Decadence
This was the crust for those who love a bit of luxury.
The Double Decadence crust most recently made a comeback in June, 2024, and fans were delighted by the news.
Featuring a layer of gooey cheddar and parmesan sandwiched between two thin and crispy bases, it was the perfect addition for any cheese lover.
