Woman sparks controversy after sharing the 'Parisian' way to eat a croissant

A woman has sparked controversy among the French population after sharing the "Parisian" way to eat a croissant.

Instagram influencer Carolin Lauffenberger posted a clip of herself eating a croissant while dipping it into a cappuccino, captioning the video, "How to eat your croissant like a Parisian".

The post garnered a lot of attention, and not the positive kind, as French nationals were left outraged by the croissant-eating technique, denying it was correct.

The clip gained over 97,000 likes after being shared by the Parisian account '@ParisSnobiety' with the caption, "How do you eat your croissant?"

Instagram users were quick to flood the comment section, one writing, "I once saw an American do this at Les Deux Magots, my grandmother almost shed a tear."

A second person remarked, "Hum NO??!! Wrong" with another adding, "That's a crime, madam."

However, some people came the defence of Carolin with one user writing, "Yes! Another pastry dipper" and another adding, "so delicious!"
