Diner goes viral for 'genius' menu item
We all know the situation - I can certainly admit to acting in it from time to time. You know when you're on a date, or maybe you're eavesdropping in on the one happening next to you, and you tell your date that you're not hungry, but they can order whatever they want? Well, of course, once the meal arrives (and especially when that meal includes fries), you're going to feel that pang of regret for saying you weren't hungry. It's human nature.
So what are you going to do? Naturally, you help yourself to the most easily shareable element of their dish - the chippies! One, two, five, ten, no matter how many you pinch, I personally believe that it's date etiquette for a lady, gentleman or anyone in between, to share their chips generously.
So this is why a diner in the US has gone viral for their 'genius' idea to include a 'my girlfriend is not hungry' menu item, that gives you extra fries, and fried chicken or fried cheese sticks.
The photo of the menu went viral when a keen-eyed customer found the joke pretty funny, and a slew of commenters agreed with them:
"Little Rock victims of date night food-theft, rejoice!" one Twitter user said.
"This is it right here! Every restaurant should do this! Except, I need one that says “My girlfriend can’t make up her mind” or “My girlfriend is also going to want some of my food” because we both know I’m never NOT hungry," one appreciative boyfriend posted.
We at 9Honey Kitchen are very, very much behind this excellent idea.
