The video, in which Ahlenius uses a can opener to open the tin at both ends before sliding the contents out, has received 5.8 million views and over half a million likes so far.

"I can't tell you guys how many times I've been educated when somebody starts their sentence off by saying, 'My grandma taught me' or, 'My mum taught me' and that's what my page is all about," she tells viewers.

Other hacks included keeping the cupboards clean, cleaning pots and pans with dryer sheets, and dealing with an over-salted soup.

When one of her followed suggested adding potatoes to a pot of soup that's too salty, Ahlenius gave it a try.
