The Cadbury Creme Egg brownie slice that'll make your Easter
This is it. Easter: Cadbury Creme Egg season.
If you've never tried making a chocolate brownie Creme Egg slice, now is the time to do it, because cake always = joy. Check out the video above to see how it's done.
We've included our recipe below. But really, you can use any favourite brownie recipe you have and just add your Creme Egg as the cherry (egg) on top of the brownie.

The most important thing to note is that you need to add your broken-up Creme Eggs at least halfway through baking time if you want them to stay ooey and gooey, which is kinda the whole point of the experience, am I right?

Cadbury Creme Egg brownie
Ingredients:
- 120g butter
- 60g dark chocolate, chopped up to melt
- 80g milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- ½ teaspoon vanilla paste
- ¼ cup plain flour
- 5 Cadbury crème eggs, cut into large pieces

Method:
- Line a slice tin with baking paper. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- In a small saucepan, melt together the butter and dark chocolate over low heat, stirring to remove lumps.
- Remove the pan from the heat, add the sugar and stir to combine.
- When the chocolate has cooled a little, whisk in your eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth.

- Then add the milk chocolate chips, flour and vanilla and stir until combined.
- Pour the mix into your lined slice tray and bake for 20 minutes.
- Then press the Creme Egg pieces into the top of the batter and bake for a further 15-20 minutes, or until the brownie has set a top crust (around the egg pieces) and is cooked to gooey perfection.
- Allow to cool in tray and then slice to serve.
