Austrian vegetable orchestra turns playing with food into high-brow artform

Apparently beans aren't the only foodstuff to make you "toot"—only we're sure you'll agree that these musical vegetables are much more enjoyable to listen to.

For 18 years these talented performers have been hand-picking fresh vegetables from the local Vienna markets and experimenting with new and unique ways to get amazing sounds out of them—even transforming carrots and cucumbers into flute-like instruments, celery into guitars, and pumpkins into drums. This is followed by a live performance and a meal made from the vegetable food scraps, shared with audience members.
