Suzy Monzer

Once you become a frequent traveller, you begin to pick up on the tiny differences between nations or even states.

One particular British expat has made a realisation about Aussie milk that has left locals quite baffled.

The content creator and radio host by the handle @thejordangrace and known on TikTok as 'That British Girl' turned to TikTok when a trip to the grocery store for milk left her a little dizzy.

After explaining that the UK narrows their milk down to three types, full-fat, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk, she joked about the comparatively complicated Australian system.

"But then we come to Australia," she began before delving into the Aussie colour-scheming.

"So blue milk is full fat," she explained. "I know you're thinking this is the same … no. Dark blue is full fat, but light blue is light milk and pink milk is skim; not to be confused with trim red milk."

"And then there's a purple for lactose free, which can also be green and don't forget yellow, which is reduced fat, which is different from light, skim and trim," she continued.

"And then you have grey which is cold-pressed, I don't even know what the black ones are for, and then gold is homogenised."

While some users found the humour in Grace's video, others were stunned by the revelation.

"Low fat, no fat, full cream, high calcium, high protein, soy, light skim, Omega 3, high calcium with vitamin D & floride or extra dollup?" one comically responded, referring to the famous milk ad that had Aussie cackling during commercial breaks.
